A common trope among Bitcoiners is to tell people that they don’t have to buy a whole Bitcoin. This is a good sentiment to get across but I think it’s short sighted.
People are driven by aspirations not realities. Telling people to only buy a fraction of a Bitcoin doesn’t tug on heart strings. It’s an admission that the person they’re speaking to can’t afford to buy a whole Bitcoin. Though this may be true for the vast majority of people it’s not the goal we should lead with.
